Time For a Party
Event Policies

Each party package is created for 8 guests, including the birthday guest of honor.  Additional guests, such as siblings, may be added for an extra fee as noted in each party collection description; however, party activities and many party favors are designed for children ages 3-7 and are not appropriate for younger children.

Party-in-a-Box Package

  Hosted by you,and delivered to your location, completely staged, set up, and picked up by Time For a Party staff, the package includes kid-sized tables and chairs, table and additional themed decor, place settings for each guest, supplies for craft activity and dress-up rental (available for certain themes)from our list of party collections.
Additional guests $15 each.

Reserving A Party Date and Party Collection
If you are interested in reserving a party date and specific party collection, you may do so via E-mail or phone (916.425.2264). Time For a Party will notify you ASAP regarding the availability of your preferred party date and collection selection. Please note,your party date is tentative until the signed contract and deposit are received.

Booking A Party
If your date and selected party collection are available and have been confirmed by Time For a Party, a contract and event policies packet will be mailed to you. The contract, as well as a 50% deposit of the selected package is required to book your party. We only accept cash or checks at this time. Once your contract and deposit have been received, Time For a Party will re-confirm your party dates. Parties are reserved/booked on a first come, first serve basis. Please note that Time For a Party will not begin any preparations for your party until we receive your paperwork and deposit.

Final payment will be based on your final guest headcount and is due 2 days prior to your event in the form of cash or a check. If Time For a Party is unable to process this payment, we reserve the right to cancel your event.

Cancellations and Refunds
If you must cancel your party for any reason, the following refund policy applies: Your deposit is non-refundable. However, in the event that you must cancel, Time For a Party will gladly make every effort to reschedule another party date.

{Completely Staged} Details
Time For a Party will contact you 3-4 days prior to your party to schedule a time two hours before the start of your scheduled party. It will take 90 minutes to 2 hours for Time For a Party staff to stage and set up all party elements. Delivery is free to your Sacramento location; delivery charges apply for areas outside of the Sacramento area. Time For a Party will return to pick up items either the day of the party or the following day. Items should be packed up in their original containers prior to designated pick-up time.  A $300 security deposit is required for all {Completely Staged} rentals. This $300 check is not cashed and is held until all rental items from the specific party collection are returned in the same condition as delivered.

Event Execution and Location Requirements
Time For a Party requests a cleared out area of at least 12’x 12’ in which to set up. You may hold your event outdoors, and a flat, shady/covered area is ideal. Time For a Party will not set up for an event in wet grass or mud. Please make sure your automatic sprinkler system has been turned off for the day of your party!

Minimum and Maximum Attendance
All party packages are based on 8 guests, including the birthday guest of honor. If less than 8 guests attend, you will still be charged for 8 guests. If you have over the basic amount of guests attending, there will be an additional charge per guest which is specific to the party package you have selected. Please check each party collection for maximum number of guests allowed. Note that a “guest” is anyone, including siblings, who will be participating in the party activities and has a place reserved at the kid-sized tables.

Time For a Party will do its best to accommodate siblings at your event, but please keep in mind if they plan to participate in the party activities (craft, dress up, etc.) and sit with the other guests at the kid-sized tables, then they will be charged as a guest and must be included in the final headcount.

Final Guest Headcount
Time For a Party will contact you 3 days before delivery for a final headcount. This is the amount you will be charged for, so please make sure that your headcount is accurate. Please note, if a guest does not attend your party you are still charged.

Some of our party collections include dress-up costumes, which are cleaned and in excellent condition. All costumes are made to wear over a child’s own clothing; however, leotards, tank tops and leggings or bike shorts are our recommendation for underneath costumes. The party time line allows for guests to wear the costumes long enough to enjoy them. Costumes are expensive to replace, so it is appreciated that no eating or drinking be allowed while wearing the costumes (water is ok). You will be responsible for damage to the costumes.

Food and Beverages
Time For a Party does not bring any food or drinks to an event (unless special arrangements have been made). We are happy to suggest menu ideas and provide referrals to local cake, cupcake and cookie vendors.

Time For a Party reserves the right to use photographs taken at your event on its website for viewing by the internet community. Such photographs are for promotional purposes only and compensation of any kind should not be expected. Children’s names will not be used in conjunction with any photographs taken.

Your home will be treated with the utmost respect and care. Please remove any breakable or precious belongings from the party area prior to the start of your event. Please be aware that children, under the age of 3 especially, need to be supervised. However, we cannot be held responsible for accidental damage caused by a guest. In the event of damage or loss to Time For a Party inventory and/or damage or loss to the party’s location, the financial responsibility lies entirely on the client. Time For a Party is not responsible for allergic reactions or any other medical reaction or injury stemming from the wearing of costumes, or any activity taken place before, during and/or after the party. In the case of liability and/or financial remuneration due to the aforementioned, the responsibility lies strictly with the client.
